My personal poems of hope

New Hope Dawns

In the dawn, a new day is born.
May birds who sing, in the morning light,
symbolise a spring, futures so bright,
full of delight, with each new morn.

Keeping Your Hopes Up

As your hope soars,
may my inspiration and positivity,
continue to be yours,
always opening new doors,
even when it rains and pours.

Reach For a Star

It’s lift-off from base,
up into the sky, so very high,
upping the pace as we head into space.
Destination, the moon.

But the moon’s too soon!
Let’s reach for a star, so very far.
So sit tight and let’s rocket,
to a future of profit.

At Sea, And Later Free

Here we are, all at sea,
Tired and weak, our fate unclear.
In waters cold, futures look bleak.
Nothing to hold, danger near.

No time for thinking, the risk very real,
of sinking deep, a chilling ordeal.
But along comes a boat,
finding us, just afloat.

Towards us, the boat steers.
Its captain appears.
We ask, “Can we get back to the shore?”
The captain replies, “Yes, sure.”

Later, the boat docks,
leaving us safe and free,
after our futures appeared to be,
on the rocks, now a distant memory.

Climbing and Flying to Greater Heights

A venture very tough, both day and night.
Through the rains, across terrains.
Smooth and rough, at times holding on tight,
with all my might, facing trials and strains.

The summit, seemingly far away.
Many stops still lie along the way.
In great winds, I get blown and tossed,
sometimes becoming lost, but not forever crossed.

Later, after climbing a slope so steep,
I spot a flag in snow very deep.
The last stop, the mountain top.
A moment to pause before the drop.

I take a look around at what I’ve achieved,
New heights reached, sights believed.
Difficult barriers breached, a climb sublime,
well worth my time, a testament to climb.

Now it’s time for me to be a flyer,
and setting my sights even higher.
So I spread my wings,
hoping to achieve greater things.
